Quick Clock turns a tablet, computer, or screen at your site into a shared clock-in kiosk. Employees scan the QR code on the kiosk and confirm with their personal PIN.
🧰 Before you start
Make sure that:
You have access to "Company Settings" and "Sites"
The site or store already exists in Givver
The employees who will use the kiosk are assigned to the site
You have a device ready to use as the kiosk, such as a tablet, computer, or screen at the site entrance
If you can't see the kiosk settings for a site, ask your company administrator to check your access.
🏢 Open the kiosk settings
Open "Company Settings"
Open "Sites"
Find the site or store you want to set up
Open its action menu
Select "Kiosk Settings"
⚙️ Turn on and configure Quick Clock
Turn on "Quick Clock"
Choose the kiosk settings that suit the site
Select "Save Settings"
Once Quick Clock is on, employees assigned to this site can use its kiosk to clock in and out.
Kiosk settings
"Display Name": the name employees see on the kiosk
"Device Trust Duration": how long an approved kiosk device stays trusted
"Employee PIN Length": 4, 5, or 6 digits
"Geolocation Restrictions": the site's latitude, longitude, and permitted radius, if you want clock-ins checked against the site location
"QR Refresh Interval (seconds)": how often the QR code on the kiosk changes
"Kiosk Display Language": select "Auto (detect from device)" to use the device language, or choose a specific language
"Employee PIN Length" applies to the whole company. Changing it may affect employees at other sites.
🔗 Open the kiosk on the site device
From the site's action menu, choose one of these options:
"Open Kiosk" to launch the kiosk display
"Copy Kiosk URL" to copy a link you can open on the kiosk device
The copied link works only once and expires after about an hour. Open it directly on the device you'll use as the kiosk.
🔐 Pair the kiosk device
If the kiosk shows a pairing code:
On your administrator device, go back to the site's kiosk settings
Find "Awaiting Pairing"
Enter the code shown on the kiosk
Approve the device
Once approved, the device appears under "Active Kiosks".
Remove a kiosk device
If a device is replaced, lost, or should no longer be used, revoke it from "Active Kiosks".
👥 Prepare employees to clock in
Each employee needs a personal clock-in PIN before they can use the kiosk.
Share Set up your clock-in PIN in Givver with employees who haven't created one yet
Share Clock in and out using a QR code in Givver so they know how to use the kiosk
To clock in or out, employees scan the QR code on the kiosk and confirm with their PIN.
✅ What happens next?
Once Quick Clock is set up:
Employees assigned to the site can clock in and out at the kiosk
The QR code on the kiosk changes at the interval you chose
If you configured "Geolocation Restrictions", Givver checks clock-ins against the site's permitted radius
🔧 Troubleshooting
An employee can't clock in
Check that:
Quick Clock is turned on for the correct site
The employee is assigned to that site
The kiosk appears under "Active Kiosks"
The employee has set up a valid PIN
If clocking in still doesn't work, the employee can add their hours manually and let their manager know. Share Add a manual time entry in Givver.
The kiosk link doesn't work
Copied kiosk links work only once and expire after about an hour. Open the site's action menu and select "Copy Kiosk URL" to create a new link.
🧠 Keep in mind
"Employee PIN Length" applies to the whole company, not just this site
Copied kiosk links work only once and expire after about an hour
Open the kiosk link on the device you'll use as the kiosk
Revoke any kiosk device that is lost, replaced, or no longer used
Employees need a PIN and must be assigned to the site before they can clock in
