Standard Access Levels in Givver: Admins, Line Managers and Employees

For companies using the standard Admin, Line Manager and Employee access levels without configurable roles and permissions.

Who is this guide for? This guide is for companies using Givver’s standard Admin, Line Manager and Employee access levels, where configurable roles and permissions have not been enabled.

If your company has configurable roles and permissions enabled, use Configurable Roles and Permissions in Givver. If you are unsure which setup your company uses, ask your company administrator.

🪄 Admin Access

Admins have full visibility and control across the entire platform.

What Admins Can Do

  • Access all features, including Reporting, Company Settings, Payroll, Analytics, and more.

  • Override actions when needed, such as approving changes or correcting data.

  • View and manage all documents, employee profiles, and company-wide configurations.

  • Create, modify, or delete time-off requests on behalf of any team member.

Admins essentially have unrestricted control, ensuring that all processes run smoothly and remain consistent across the organisation.

👥 Line Manager Access

When a user is assigned as a Line Manager, they gain access to the information required to support and manage their direct reports, without oversharing or exposing sensitive data.

    • Job title, department, start date (Personal details tab)Work schedule and contract details.

Document Access

Document visibility for managers is granted on an ad-hoc basis, depending on your company’s policies and internal practices.

Line Managers do not see sensitive compensation information unless explicitly configured in future settings.

👤 Employee Access

Employees can view their own information and the areas of the platform that help them stay informed and up to date.

What Employees Can See

  • Their own personal details

  • Their employment information

  • Their documents (contracts, payslips, company files shared with them)

What Employees Can Do

  • Submit leave requests

  • View approvals and access past requests

What Employees Cannot See

Employees do not have access to private or sensitive details of other team members.
They will only see:

  • Public profiles

  • Public sections like the People Directory or Org Chart

This ensures privacy is always respected.
