👉 This setup is done once by an Admin, and Givver will handle the syncing for everyone.
🛠 Step 1 — Create a Shared Google Calendar
In Google Calendar, click the + next to Other calendars.
Select Create new calendar.
Give it a clear name (e.g. Givver Team Leave Requests).
Set the correct time zone for your team.
Click Create calendar.
👥 Step 2 — Share Access
Go to your new calendar → Settings and sharing.
Under Share with specific people, add the users who should have access to see the events.
Grant them See all event details (or higher) so they can view requests clearly.
Save your changes.
💡 Tip for Admins: If your company uses Google Workspace, you can create a group (e.g. [email protected]) and share the calendar with the group.
This way, when new joiners are added to the group, they’ll automatically get access to the shared calendar — no need to update it every time.
🔑 Step 3 — Copy the Calendar ID
In the same Settings page, scroll to Integrate calendar.
Copy the Calendar ID (e.g.
[email protected]).Keep it handy — you’ll need it for Givver.
🔗 Step 4 — Connect Google Calendar in Givver
Log in as an Admin.
Go to Settings → Add Integration → Google Calendar → Connect.
Choose your Google account and click Allow to grant access.
Paste the Calendar ID into the Calendar Configuration field.
(Optional) Select Notify employees if you’d like an automatic email update.
Click Save Settings.
⚡ Step 5 — Automatic Sync
Once connected, Givver will push events instantly, including:
Pending and approved leave requests
Future requests
Past requests (from the start of the current year)
Public holidays
Any additional company-wide days off
💡 No manual updates are needed. If you see an error, contact Givver Support.
🎉 That’s it! Your team calendar is now fully connected, keeping everyone aligned without extra work.
