The process is completed directly in a table interface, allowing you to enter and organise data quickly.
How the Table Works
The onboarding interface works like a spreadsheet.
You can:
Enter data directly into cells
Copy and paste multiple values
Insert or duplicate rows
Delete rows if needed
Right-clicking on a cell will show additional options for editing and managing data.
Mandatory Fields and Validation
Fields marked with an asterisk (*) are required
Highlighted fields indicate that action is needed
Common validation issues include:
Missing required fields
Incorrect data formats
Duplicate email addresses
You won’t be able to save until all errors are resolved.
Process Structure
Follow the steps below to complete the onboarding process:
1. Add managers
If you are onboarding employees for the first time, you should add managers before adding other employees.
This ensures:
Employees can be assigned correctly
Your organisational structure is set from the start
If your managers are already set up in Givver, you can move straight to adding employees.
2. Add Employees
Once managers are in place, you can add employees and link them to their respective managers.
Each employee is added as a row in the table and must include all required information before activation.
3. Employee Data Fields

2. Onboarding Settings

"Goes to payroll" (determines if the employee is included in PAYE payroll)
"Send welcome email" (sends an invitation email to the employee)
When "Goes to payroll" is enabled, it triggers the UK payroll onboarding flow.
This flow sends emails to the employee requesting the information needed to run UK payroll, such as PAYE details and starter information. It can also be triggered using the employee’s personal email address, allowing them to complete onboarding before their start date.
If the employee will be included in payroll (PAYE), you must enable both of the following:
"Goes to payroll"
"Send welcome email"
3. Employment Details
